Workshop
Bhangra & Bollywood Dance Workshops
Bhangra and Bollywood are introduced as two distinct forms within one energetic, accessible session built around participation rather than performance.

In the session
Bhangra has its roots in Punjab and carries its own rhythms and movements. Bollywood dance draws on film choreography and blends several influences. The session keeps the difference clear while teaching both in a way everyone can join.
Steps are taught in small pieces and built into short routines, so participants feel progress within the session itself.
What happens in a session
- Basic steps taught and practised together
- Simple routines built up step by step
- Creating short sequences as a group
- Rhythm, counting and listening to the music
- Simple musical instruments introduced where appropriate
Who it suits
No previous dance experience is required. The focus is participation, enjoyment, confidence and cultural awareness, not technical standard.
If members of your group need the activity adapted, please raise it when you enquire so it can be discussed directly with the team before the session is agreed.
“The dance was also a firm favourite. They loved the new dance moves.”
