Cultural experiences beyond the classroom

Gvants brings the same activities that work in schools to workplaces, community groups and other organisations: dance, henna, traditional clothing, food and conversation.

Activities and format are discussed to suit the group and the occasion, whether that is a cultural celebration, a staff event or a series of sessions.

A cultural event at ITV Leeds

Gvants delivered a cultural event at ITV Leeds featuring Indian dancing, henna and a range of traditional cultural dress for colleagues to explore.

Sessions like this mix participation with conversation: people try a few dance steps, have a henna design applied, handle textiles and ask questions about what they are seeing.

Community and institutional settings

Gvants has also delivered cultural sessions at HMP High Down, with food, activities and conversation at their centre. Each session was planned separately rather than following one fixed programme.

Group dance with no experience needed — steps, rhythm and a short routine.
