About Gvants
Kamlesh Singh and the Gvants approach
Gvants Cultural & Religious Education is led by Kamlesh Singh, known to many schools as Mrs Singh. She works with headteachers, RE leads and teaching staff to plan sessions around the pupils in front of her and the topics they are already studying.
The approach is practical and interactive. Rather than a talk about a religion or a culture, a session is built from things pupils can look at, handle, taste, make and try: artefacts, textiles, spices, music, dance and stories.
Alongside schools, Gvants delivers cultural experiences for workplaces and other organisations, adapting the same activities to the group and the occasion.

How sessions are shaped
Planned with staff
Every workshop is agreed in advance with the school or organisation, so it fits the curriculum topic, the timetable and the space available.
Age-appropriate
Language, activities and depth are matched to the age and ability of the group, including SEN groups, discussed case by case.
Participatory
Pupils take part rather than watch: trying steps, tying a turban, designing a pattern, rolling a chapatti, asking questions.
Respectful
Religious traditions are presented on their own terms, with distinct traditions kept distinct and religious articles treated with care.
